Visionary Women in Construction, 2026

ON THE COVER
Kate Kerrane has built her career at the intersection of engineering, sustainability, and infrastructure delivery. Her journey reflects a clear and consistent purpose – to create meaningful impact through systems that support the energy transition and long-term environmental responsibility.
Dr Carol Massay began her career in construction straight from school during a time when more than three million people were unemployed. Rather than waiting for opportunity, she chose to gain practical experience as an office junior while studying in the evenings.

Southern Oak
Sonia Robinson’s journey into the construction industry began during one of the most difficult chapters of her life. In her forties, she faced redundancy and the sudden breakdown of her relationship. With two children depending on her, she had to quickly rebuild stability. Instead of allowing circumstances to define her future, she chose to create something of her own.
