Leadership is not only about achieving results. It is also about helping people grow, build confidence, and create meaningful change. Zoë Thompson has built her career around this belief.

As an accredited Master Coach, qualified Executive Coach, and NLP Master Practitioner, she has dedicated her professional life to helping leaders become more effective while creating a better balance between work and life. At EliteX, we are proud to have Zoë Thompson as part of the edition: Transformational Coaches to Follow, 2026.
Zoë’s journey into coaching began during her 20-year career with the UK police service. She entered leadership at a young age and quickly gained experience in demanding, high-pressure environments. Throughout her career, she worked across several departments before becoming a Business Change Manager, where she combined organisational transformation with leadership development. During this time, she also trained as a coach and mentor, supporting other leaders and discovering a passion for personal development.
Lasting transformation happens when confidence replaces overwhelm and purpose guides every decision
A major turning point came in 2017 when her role became redundant. Instead of viewing the situation as a setback, Zoë saw it as an opportunity to combine her experience, skills, and passion into one purpose. She launched her own coaching and consulting business and has been working full-time with leaders and organisations ever since.
What attracted Zoë to transformational coaching was its belief that every individual already holds the answers they need. Rather than giving instructions or solving problems for clients, she creates a safe and supportive environment where people can explore their own thinking. She believes coaching is about asking the right questions, encouraging curiosity, and helping people discover lasting solutions that fit their unique situations.
Her coaching philosophy goes far beyond improving daily habits or increasing productivity. Zoë focuses on the root causes that influence behaviour, decisions, and performance. She believes true transformation happens when people change how they see themselves, not simply what they do. This identity-focused approach allows leaders to create sustainable success rather than relying on temporary fixes.
To support this process, Zoë developed her own PIIPS Framework, which stands for Plan, Intention, Identity, Performance, and Structure. The framework encourages leaders to first understand who they want to become before building the systems and habits needed to achieve their goals. By connecting identity with action, her clients are able to create success that feels as good as it looks.
Zoë mainly works with ambitious leaders who are already successful in their careers but often feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from their personal lives. Many are responsible for leading teams and solving constant challenges, leaving little time for strategic thinking. Although they appear successful to others, they often struggle with confidence, boundaries, and the pressure of carrying too much responsibility.
Through her signature programme, The Elevate Your Efficiency Blueprint for Leaders, Zoë helps clients reclaim control of their time while becoming stronger leaders. The eight-week programme combines practical implementation with mindset transformation, allowing participants to improve their leadership while recovering at least five hours every week. Rather than waiting until the programme ends to make changes, clients begin implementing new habits immediately, supported by continued guidance and an active leadership community.
Great leadership begins with changing who you become, not simply what you do.
One of the experiences that continues to inspire Zoë involved a senior public sector leader who joined her programme feeling completely overwhelmed by work. The client struggled to switch off, constantly solved problems for others, and lacked confidence in setting healthy boundaries. Within just a few weeks, the individual began delegating responsibilities, focusing on daily priorities, and trusting the team to take ownership. As the leader changed, the team also became more confident and capable. For Zoë, this demonstrated that real leadership transformation begins when people change how they see themselves rather than simply changing their schedules.

Her coaching combines a wide range of proven methodologies, including NLP techniques, leadership models, and frameworks developed through years of professional experience. She believes that every client is different, so coaching should never follow a single formula. Instead, she carefully selects the right approach based on each person’s needs while creating space for honest reflection and meaningful conversations.
Zoë measures success through both measurable results and personal growth. Depending on the coaching programme, this may include reclaiming working hours, improving delegation, strengthening decision-making, reducing burnout risks, or building more self-sufficient teams so that leaders can take The Big Week Off – zero work, zero stress, zero guilt. She also believes behavioural changes are some of the strongest indicators of lasting success.
What makes Zoë’s coaching style unique is the combination of professional expertise and lived experience. Alongside her successful leadership career, she raised her son as a single parent while progressing into senior leadership. She also competed internationally as a strongwoman while balancing full-time work and building her business. These experiences taught her that every new stage of life requires a new version of ourselves, and this understanding shapes the way she coaches others today.
Looking ahead, Zoë believes coaching will become even more valuable as workplaces continue to evolve. Hybrid working, increasing workplace pressures, and the growing role of artificial intelligence are creating new leadership challenges. While technology will continue supporting coaching, she believes genuine transformation will always require human understanding, experience, and thoughtful judgement. Her vision is to expand her impact by working with more organisations, developing stronger leadership cultures, and helping people build workplaces where performance and wellbeing grow together.
For Zoë Thompson, transformational coaching is not about creating temporary improvement. It is about helping leaders become the kind of people who inspire confidence, develop others, and create positive change that lasts far beyond the workplace.
Success becomes meaningful when it feels as good as it looks.
