EliteX proudly features Elena Filipchenkova in this edition, recognizing a distinguished journey of leadership, innovation, and meaningful impact.
Elena began her career in areas connected to finance, business travel, and operational risk, where she gained valuable experience working with high-net-worth clients and understanding the demands of international business. Her entry into concierge services came unexpectedly during a business trip to London, where she met the head of Quintessentially UK. A few months later, she was invited to join the company’s newly established Moscow office. She began her journey as Head of Representative Office at Quintessentially and later became CEO of PrimeConcept. At that time, lifestyle management was not an established concept in the Russian market, making her role much more than simply managing an existing business.
Resilience means becoming stronger through uncertainty.
She had to help create an entire industry. This involved educating the market, introducing customers to concierge services, adapting international service standards to local expectations, and developing specialists who had no established career path to follow. Rather than being discouraged by the absence of an existing market, Elena saw the situation as a major opportunity. Her willingness to enter an emerging field and build something new became one of the defining characteristics of her leadership journey.
Today, her responsibilities at Aspire Lifestyles cover strategic business development across the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region, technological transformation, localization of digital solutions, client relationships, product development, recruitment, employee training, and business continuity. She works closely with major corporate clients, particularly banks and financial institutions, while also focusing on loyalty programs, concierge products, ecosystem partnerships, and new service offerings.
Technology has become an important part of this transformation. However, Elena does not believe technology should replace the human element of concierge services. In her view, automation can improve speed and efficiency, but it cannot fully reproduce the ability to understand emotions, recognize subtle needs, or respond appropriately to a client’s personal situation. The future therefore lies in finding the right balance between digital capabilities and human judgment.
Her leadership has also been tested by major disruptions. Aspire Lifestyles has navigated the COVID-19 pandemic and a subsequent geopolitical crisis while maintaining profitability and nearly doubling the business over a ten-year period. These experiences reinforced her belief that leaders must be able to make decisions quickly, remain resilient under pressure, and think beyond immediate problems. For Elena, resilience is not simply about surviving difficult periods; it is about building systems and teams that can adapt and become stronger when circumstances change.
People remain at the center of her leadership philosophy. She considers employees the company’s most important asset and places strong emphasis on recruitment, onboarding, training, and psychological support. Through Aspire Academy, employees can access learning modules, quizzes, feedback, and progress tracking from both mobile devices and desktops. The platform supports the development of both technical and soft skills, helping employees continue learning throughout their careers.
Elena also places considerable importance on work-life balance. Her own experience with burnout caused by excessive workload changed the way she approaches leadership and organizational culture. She believes rest and recovery should be treated as a normal part of professional life rather than something employees consider only after reaching exhaustion. For her, sustainable performance requires leaders and employees to have enough space to maintain their wellbeing while pursuing ambitious goals.
Technology can support service, but humanity creates the connection.

After 25 years of professional experience, Elena believes successful general managers need demanding standards, analytical thinking, creativity, resilience, and the ability to make decisions in uncertain situations. They must also be willing to admit mistakes, learn from front-line employees, and remain open to new ideas. Above all, she considers humanity essential. In a service business built around empathy and care, relationships determine whether people become long-term advocates or dissatisfied critics.
Looking toward the future, Elena sees leadership moving away from reactive heroics and toward strategic resilience. She believes tomorrow’s leaders will need to act as architects of strong systems rather than individuals who try to solve every problem themselves. Human-AI collaboration will become increasingly important, but responsible integration will matter more than simply adopting the newest technology.
She also sees human-centered leadership, continuous learning, psychological safety, and ethical business practices becoming increasingly important. As AI adoption, sustainability expectations, and economic uncertainty continue to reshape organizations, companies will need strong human infrastructure to support innovation. Leaders who can combine technological progress with empathy, agility, and continuous development will be better positioned to succeed.
For future general managers, her advice is straightforward: do not be afraid to enter an industry that does not yet exist in your market if you see genuine potential in it. Build trust patiently, protect your reputation, learn from mistakes, and establish a healthy balance between professional ambition and personal wellbeing. Elena’s own journey demonstrates that lasting leadership is not only about achieving growth. It is about creating something meaningful, developing people, adapting to change, and having the courage to build the future before it becomes obvious to everyone else.
