Nasar Jockey | Program Manager | Rolls-Royce
His journey began with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, which led him into advanced manufacturing roles where he developed new products and improved production capabilities. At EliteX, we are proud to have Nasar Jockey as part of the edition: 2026’s Visionary Manufacturing Leaders Driving Industry 4.0.
Over the years, Nasar built his career through progressive roles in leading global organizations. His early work at Rolls-Royce and Jaguar Land Rover gave him hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering and operations. These roles helped him understand the complexities of large-scale production and the importance of precision, quality, and efficiency. As he gained more experience, he naturally moved into leadership positions where he could influence broader change across multiple sites and teams.
True transformation happens when people, process, and technology align.
His desire to create a larger impact pushed him to explore digital manufacturing. He began focusing on how data, automation, and advanced systems could improve productivity and decision-making. This shift led him into consultancy and program management roles, where he worked on implementing data-driven solutions across global operations. Today, he plays a key role in a major digital transformation program at Rolls-Royce, where he focuses on improving supply chain performance and driving long-term operational excellence.
Nasar believes that Industry 4.0 is not just about advanced technology, but about combining traditional manufacturing principles with modern tools. He sees it as a natural extension of lean and six sigma practices, enhanced by artificial intelligence and data analytics. In his view, the goal is to create systems that are not only efficient but also adaptable and sustainable in a rapidly changing environment.
Throughout his career, he has led several large-scale transformation projects. He has worked on automation and robotics implementations in both greenfield and brownfield manufacturing environments, including major projects in India and the UK. His experience ranges from automotive factories to complex aerospace supply chains. He has also been involved in deploying advanced manufacturing systems and analytics platforms across multiple countries and industries. One of his notable contributions includes supporting over 100 small and medium-sized manufacturers through a national digital adoption program, creating significant economic value in a short period.
Technology plays a central role in his approach. He focuses on integrating tools such as IoT, automation, and AI into existing processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. However, he emphasizes that technology alone is not enough. Success depends on aligning people, processes, and systems. He believes that digital transformation should always start with a clear understanding of business goals and should be implemented in a way that delivers measurable value.
Data is powerful only when it is relevant and actionable.

One of the key challenges he has faced is resistance to change. Many workers are comfortable with existing systems and may not see the need for transformation. To address this, Nasar focuses on engagement and communication. He involves end users early in the process, listens to their concerns, and ensures that new solutions address real problems. By building trust and demonstrating value, he helps teams adopt new technologies more effectively.
Data is at the core of his decision-making process. He believes that meaningful insights come from collecting the right data and using it wisely. Rather than focusing on large volumes of data, he prioritizes relevance and accuracy. He follows a structured approach that balances different aspects of data, ensuring that it supports business objectives and drives continuous improvement.
Nasar is also passionate about developing future leaders in manufacturing. He actively mentors and coaches young professionals, encouraging them to think big while staying grounded in practical execution. His advice is simple – start with a clear vision, take small steps, learn quickly from failures, and keep improving.

Looking ahead, he sees the future of manufacturing moving towards fully connected and intelligent systems. He believes that smart factories will become the standard, where technology and human expertise work together seamlessly. These factories will not only focus on productivity but also on sustainability and resilience, ensuring long-term success in a competitive global market.
Think big, start small, and keep improving every step of the way.
