WALLETTO Appoints Ineta Mačinskienė as CEO – Focus on Sustainable Growth, Compliance Culture, and Product Development

Ineta Mačinskienė has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the electronic money institution WALLETTO, after serving as Deputy CEO to Romans Baranovs, who has led the company since its establishment in 2017.
Over eight prosperous years of growth, WALLETTO obtained both Visa and Mastercard licenses for payment processing and card issuing, expanded its operations, and by 2024 had become one of the top three electronic money institutions in Lithuania based on licensed activity revenues.
Ineta Mačinskienė brings over five years of leadership and business development experience in the financial and fintech sectors, where she has successfully worked on payment and e-money solutions in Lithuania and international markets. In her previous roles, she was responsible for shaping and implementing business growth strategies, building partnerships, and developing teams.
“Ineta Mačinskienė joined WALLETTO more than a year ago and from the very beginning demonstrated a clear focus on building a mature, professional team, strong leadership, and a strategic approach to growth,” says Romans Baranovs.
“She is able to recognize the company’s potential based on the current market’s demand for payment services, which requires integrating technological, financial, and compliance aspects into a consistent business strategy. I am confident that under Ineta’s leadership, Walletto will continue to strengthen its position among the leading payment institutions in the region,” he adds.
WALLETTO CEO Ineta Mačinskienė emphasizes that the company is entering a new stage of maturity, where ensuring sustainable growth through well-defined processes, a professional team, and a competitive service offering for small and medium-sized e-businesses forms the foundation for further expansion.
“In recent years, we have invested significant focus and resources on strengthening our risk management and compliance functions, expanding our technology and product development teams, and improving our infrastructure. Our strategic objectives extend beyond market and product expansion — we prioritize security, reliable and uninterrupted service delivery, professional client support, and a reputation built on the highest standards of business ethics,” Mačinskienė says.
“People are the key” – this is Ineta Mačinskienė’s personal motto, which she consistently applies not only in shaping the Walletto team but also in fostering a collaborative, client-oriented culture.
Over eight years of operation, WALLETTO has grown from three employees to a team of 123 professionals.
According to data from the Bank of Lithuania, in 2024 Walletto achieved EUR 26.7 million in revenue and EUR 6.1 million in profit before tax.
WALLETTO is a principal member of Visa and Mastercard as a card issuer and payment processor, and also provides SEPA and SWIFT payment services.
