Victoria McCormack – Leading Without a Title Through the Power of People

Victoria McCormack 1

Victoria McCormack is the Director of JVM Consultancy, where she works with leaders and teams to help them grow, connect, and perform at their best. Through her work, she focuses on people-centered leadership and believes strongly that leadership does not need a job title. Her core programme, Leading Without a Title, helps individuals understand their own influence and shows teams how to build healthy, high-performing work cultures. At the heart of everything she does is a simple belief – when people feel valued and connected, they do their best work.

Her consultancy work continues to grow through programmes, workshops, and leadership support shared through her official platform, jvmconsultancy.ie. At EliteX, we are proud to have Victoria McCormack as part of the edition: Trailblazing Influencers & Creators of 2025.

Alongside her consultancy work, Victoria is also a community facilitator with Grow Remote. In this role, she supports more than 70 volunteers across Ireland and internationally. Her work with Grow Remote focuses on helping remote workers feel less isolated by creating ways for them to connect socially and professionally. She understands that while remote work offers freedom, it can also bring challenges like loneliness and disconnection. Through community events and volunteer-led efforts, she helps build spaces where people feel supported and included.

True impact is not measured by attention alone, but by the real change people create in their teams and communities.

Victoria is also the host of The People Effect radio show, a powerful platform that shares the stories of founders, leaders, and everyday changemakers who lead without needing formal authority. The show highlights people creating real impact in their teams and communities. In less than nine months since its launch, The People Effect received major recognition when it won the ‘Heart of Cork’ award at the Cork Volunteer Centre awards. Victoria had the honor of hosting the awards night and only discovered during the event that The People Effect had been nominated and selected as the winner. This moment became a powerful celebration of grassroots work, community action, and the collective effort behind the show.

The People Effect continues to grow as a space for meaningful conversation, inspiration, and real-world leadership stories. The show is available on Spotify, allowing listeners to tune in from anywhere. To connect with the community and follow the journey, people can also find the show on Instagram at The People Effect Cork. Through both audio and social platforms, Victoria continues to extend the reach of everyday leadership and people-led change.

Her journey into creating content grew naturally from her work in leadership and community building. Over time, she noticed that many everyday leaders were doing powerful work but were rarely seen or heard. This inspired her to start sharing their stories through content and conversations. For Victoria, content is not about attention or visibility alone. It is about inspiring action, building connection, and encouraging better ways of working together. Every story she shares is rooted in real experience and practical learning.

When deciding what topics to focus on, Victoria stays grounded in what truly matters to people. Her work revolves around building strong team cultures, improving performance, supporting remote workers, and encouraging shared leadership. She allows real workplace challenges, community conversations, and research insights to shape the direction of her work. Whether it is a workshop, a radio conversation, or a community initiative, the goal is always to create real-world impact rather than just information for its own sake.

One habit that has shaped her work deeply is listening. Victoria believes that meaningful solutions can only come from truly understanding people’s challenges and ideas. In workshops, interviews, and community sessions, she takes time to hear different voices and perspectives. She also stays informed through data and research but does not rely on numbers alone. By blending human experience with informed insight, she keeps her work both practical and emotionally grounded.

When people feel valued, connected, and heard, they naturally perform at their best.

For Victoria, success is measured through impact rather than numbers alone. She looks at how teams change after a workshop, how leaders grow in confidence, how remote workers feel more connected, and how listeners take action after hearing a story. Every workshop includes structured feedback so participants can reflect on their learning. True success, in her view, is when people apply what they learn in ways that improve their daily work and relationships.

Like many creators and community builders, Victoria faces the challenge of balancing time and capacity. Building community does not fit into strict working hours, and meaningful work often extends beyond a fixed schedule. She meets this challenge with flexibility, courage, and a strong growth mindset. Instead of fearing change, she stays open to experimentation and learning. This approach allows her work to evolve while staying closely connected to the people she serves.

Audience engagement for her is built through connection rather than promotion. Through Leadership Connect, Grow Remote communities, workshops, and The People Effect, she creates spaces where people feel heard and valued. By sharing real stories and celebrating everyday leadership, her audience continues to grow in a natural and authentic way. People stay because they feel part of something meaningful, not because they are being sold to.

In her daily work, Victoria relies on a mix of digital tools that support both creativity and organisation. Platforms such as Canva, Zoom, Google services, Miro, Mural, Asana, LinkedIn, and Spotify help her manage projects, connect with communities, and share content efficiently. These tools allow her to stay organised while keeping her work visually engaging and accessible to a wide audience.

When it comes to balancing creativity and monetisation, Victoria always puts impact first. She does not believe in selling solutions that do not truly serve the needs of a team or organisation. Instead, she takes time to understand what is really happening beneath the surface. Her workshops use gamification and interactive learning to help participants shape their own leadership journey. Each individual creates a personal leadership blueprint that reflects their values and workplace culture. Because the work delivers genuine value, trust builds naturally, and financial success follows without compromising authenticity.

Leadership does not begin with a job title, it begins when people choose to step up and make a difference.

One of her most important lessons came from trying to do everything alone in the early stages of her journey. She once felt she needed to have all the answers and carry every responsibility herself. Over time, she learned that real impact comes through collaboration. Today, many of her initiatives thrive because they are built through shared effort. She believes leadership and change are always stronger when people work together rather than in isolation.

Looking ahead, Victoria is most excited by the rise of community-driven content. She sees growing value in spaces where people do not just consume content but connect, learn, and take action together. This trend reflects the very heart of her work at JVM Consultancy, where shared stories and collective effort drive real-world change. Her advice to new creators is simple and practical – focus on connection over perfection. By helping people feel part of something bigger, true impact becomes possible.
