Before founding the business, Sonia had already spent years around construction. She was involved in tenders, payments, purchasing materials, and the daily coordination of projects, all while maintaining her own PAYE role. Today, Sonia serves as the Founder and Managing Director of Southern Oak, an oak framing company specialising in bespoke garages, gazebos, porches, and structural oak frames. She is believed to be the only sole female owner of an oak framing company in the UK, a role she carries with both pride and responsibility. Her leadership combines strategic direction with hands-on oversight. She manages client relationships, guides project direction, and ensures that each structure reflects craftsmanship, structural integrity, and long-term value.

Rather than highlighting a single project, Sonia takes pride in the reputation the company has built in a relatively short time. Southern Oak’s growth has been driven by referrals, trusted relationships, and consistent delivery. Each oak frame installed across the country represents a client’s trust.
