Aman Singh: Transforming Insurance Through Technology and Purpose

Aman Singh has been part of the financial services world for nearly three decades. Over the past 28 years, he has worked with many multinational insurance companies, focusing on digital transformation and market expansion. Early in his career, he saw how old and rigid systems were preventing innovation and keeping millions of people outside the protection of insurance. This realization pushed him to explore how technology could better serve the insurance industry. His journey led him to found Benefits for Expats Inc., a Canadian insurance consulting firm that helped companies with strategy, digitization, and growth in the GCC region.

Working closely with insurance carriers and reinsurers gave him a deep understanding of both the promise of data-driven underwriting and the challenges caused by outdated IT systems. In 2023, Aman took a bold step forward by launching B4E Insurtech Inc. in Canada. His goal was simple but powerful – to build an insurance platform powered entirely by AI from the ground up. At EliteX, we are proud to have Aman Singh as part of the edition: 05 Impactful Insurtech Leaders in 2025.

What inspired Aman to launch this new venture was a single, powerful question: “Why can’t launching a new insurance product be as easy as creating a website?” He believed that by using cloud technology, artificial intelligence, and low-code or no-code platforms, insurance could become far more accessible and easier to build. His vision was to make insurance product creation as straightforward as filling in a spreadsheet. With this goal in mind, he brought together a talented team of engineers, data scientists, and insurance experts. Together, they focused on cutting down the time and cost of launching insurance products, breaking down barriers, and reaching people who have traditionally been left out.

“The future of insurance lies in making it seamless, invisible, and truly inclusive.”

Aman and his team aimed to solve two major problems in the insurance industry. First, they wanted to reduce the time and money it takes to bring a new insurance product to market. Traditional systems are slow, costly, and hard to adapt. Second, they wanted to close the protection gap that leaves hundreds of millions of people uninsured or underinsured. These people are often left out because they are in niche markets, live in remote areas, or have non-traditional jobs like gig workers. B4E’s platform solves both issues by enabling insurers to build and launch products within minutes using APIs and embedded insurance options. This makes it possible to reach underserved people like freelancers, migrants, and small business owners.

What makes B4E different from older insurance models is its design. Unlike traditional systems that require coding and constant customization, B4E’s platform is built with no-code technology and is AI-native. This means that product managers, underwriters, and partners can easily create insurance products, set prices, and manage distribution flows using a simple, user-friendly interface. Every part of the workflow—from underwriting to claims—uses AI and machine learning to make decisions in real-time. The deep integration of AI, along with the ability to quickly plug the platform into different services, gives B4E a strong edge over both traditional systems and newer, single-purpose insurtech tools.

Technology has played a big role in improving the insurance experience for customers. First, it brings speed and ease. Digital onboarding, AI chat support, and instant policy creation remove the hassle of paperwork and long calls. Second, it allows for personalization. Using customer data and behavior patterns, insurance products can now be tailored to fit specific needs—whether it’s for farming, short-term travel, health coverage for gig workers, or income protection. Third, APIs allow insurance to be embedded into other services like online shopping, banking apps, or hospital check-ins. This makes insurance feel like a natural part of everyday life instead of a separate, complicated product.

Building an AI-based platform wasn’t without its challenges. One of the biggest problems Aman faced was ensuring that the AI systems met strict rules around fairness, transparency, and auditability. Regulators need to know how AI is making decisions, especially when it comes to claims and underwriting. To solve this, Aman and his team created a special AI governance system that records each AI decision, shows where the data came from, and explains the reasoning in simple terms. This not only meets the legal requirements but also builds trust with insurers, customers, and partners.

“Why can’t launching a new insurance product be as easy as creating a website?”

One of the milestones Aman is most proud of is a recent partnership with a leading reinsurer in the UAE. Together, they launched over-the-counter insurance products in several GCC countries. This partnership proved that B4E’s no-code promise works in real-world settings and can deliver real value to people who previously had no access to financial protection. It was a clear sign that the platform could expand access to insurance and help solve global coverage gaps.

Looking ahead, Aman believes that the insurance world will undergo major changes in the next five years. Insurance will no longer be something people buy on its own. Instead, it will become an invisible part of everyday life—built into other services like loans, taxi rides, hospital visits, or online purchases. The focus will shift from just covering losses to helping people prevent risks and build resilience. The companies that succeed will be those who understand people’s needs before they arise, offer customized protection, and work with a wide range of partners across industries.

B4E is also committed to making insurance more inclusive and affordable. The platform supports micro-insurance models, allowing policies to be offered at very low premiums—sometimes just a few dollars—by reducing operational costs with automation. It also uses parametric models that pay out automatically and fairly based on set conditions, such as weather events. The interface is designed to work well even in low-internet areas and supports multiple languages, making it easy for people in underserved areas to access coverage.

Aman understands that trust and privacy are at the heart of insurance. That’s why his platform follows a privacy-by-design approach. It uses strong encryption, only collects data that is needed, and gives users clear control over how their data is used. Every AI model goes through regular fairness and bias testing. This careful attention to governance ensures that the push for innovation never comes at the cost of trust. When asked if AI will replace traditional insurance models, Aman believes the answer is no. Instead, he sees AI as a powerful tool that will change the way insurance works. While human judgment will always be needed for complex cases and personal interactions, AI can take over repetitive tasks, uncover new insights, and help create more personalized products. The future of insurance, he says, is not machines replacing people but machines and people working together.

Collaboration plays a key role in Aman’s strategy. He works closely with traditional insurers and regulators to ensure that B4E’s products are practical, compliant, and safe for customers. These partnerships allow the company to pilot new products, adapt to changing laws, and make sure the technology solves real problems. To those entering the insurtech space, Aman offers clear advice: focus on solving real customer problems, not just building flashy tech. Talk to all the people involved—underwriters, agents, compliance teams—early in the process. Build tools that are flexible and modular, not one-size-fits-all. And always put transparency and trust at the center of everything you do, from data handling to AI decisions.

“AI won’t replace insurance—it will transform it.”

In 2025, Aman and his team are set to launch an exciting new product—a fully AI-first, cloud-native enterprise platform that promises to further transform how insurance is created and delivered. For Aman Singh, this is just the beginning of a larger mission to make insurance faster, fairer, and more accessible for everyone, everywhere.
