Daniela Baumann | Owner | Loft1 Studios
Daniela Baumann is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, and the director of Global Woman Club Dubai. She is also the owner of Loft1 Studios, a poledance-studio chain with locations in Zurich and Basel. In this interview, she shares her inspiring journey as a business owner and how she supports women in their personal and professional growth.
“I fell in love with pole dancing from the first time I saw it.”
Baumann started Loft1 Studios in 2008 as a single mother with two children, and faced skepticism from sponsors and investors. However, her determination and belief in herself paid off. Today, her company has 15 branches, inspiring women to become confident and empowered through the sport of pole fitness.

In addition to her poledance business, Baumann founded Global Woman Club Dubai in 2022 to support women in their personal and professional development. The club provides a platform for women to network and learn from each other, and offers training and mentorship programs to help them achieve their goals.
Baumann’s motto is, “Pole fitness is fun and keeps the body fit,” and she believes that pole dancing is important for women’s empowerment. Through her studios, she has seen women become more confident and believe in themselves. She also believes in the importance of equality and paying women equally for the same work as men.
“I can confidently say I am happy that I believe in myself, that I took this step, that I opened the first studio and all without experience.”
Baumann’s key skills, including patience, perseverance, determination, focus, and self-belief, have helped her on her entrepreneurial journey. Her favorite books, including “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne, “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, and “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Dr. Joseph Murphy, inspire her and help her unplug from work through meditation.
Baumann’s goal is to support, motivate, and inspire as many women as possible, and her advice to other ambitious women is to surround themselves with successful people and continue learning every day.
